Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform strategic policy recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate emergency response protocols
- Develop community outreach strategies and lead stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Prepare comprehensive reports for City leadership and public health boards
- Mentor junior staff and conduct program evaluations using quantitative methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health program management or policy analysis
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and data visualization tools
- Experience with grant writing and federal grant management (CDC, HRSA)
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Knowledge of Healthy People 2030 objectives and local health equity frameworks
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Health Security Clearance
- Experience with community-based participatory research methods
