Responsibilities
- Design and implement epidemiological studies to track disease patterns and health trends in Fulton County
- Analyze complex health datasets using statistical software (R, SAS, or Python) to identify emerging public health threats
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for county commissioners and community stakeholders
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives addressing social determinants of health
- Lead community outreach programs to increase health literacy and access to preventive services
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for public health board meetings
- Maintain compliance with CDC and Georgia Department of Public Health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health data analysis and program evaluation
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, SAS, or Python)
- Valid Georgia Public Health Professional certification
- Demonstrated experience with health equity initiatives and culturally competent practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to diverse audiences
