Responsibilities
- Design and execute epidemiological studies using SAS, R, and SPSS
- Analyze health disparities data to inform county-wide intervention programs
- Develop comprehensive reports for the Board of County Commissioners
- Coordinate with CDC and Florida DOH on grant-funded initiatives
- Lead cross-departmental emergency preparedness planning
- Mentor junior analysts using public health surveillance systems
- Present findings to community stakeholders and government officials
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government or non-profit public health roles
- Advanced certification in SAS or R programming
- Experience with Miami-Dade County health data systems preferred
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Spanish fluency required (written and verbal)
- Ability to work during public health emergencies
