Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting underserved communities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify disease trends and recommend intervention strategies
- Collaborate with local health departments and community organizations on health equity initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for state health leadership
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Train public health staff on emerging health threats and best practices
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness using quantitative and qualitative metrics
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of public health program management experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel within state
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Proven ability to work independently in remote settings
