Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic government relations plans aligned with city objectives
- Research and analyze legislative proposals at federal, state, and local levels
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and recommend actionable solutions
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including elected officials
- Coordinate public outreach initiatives and community engagement programs
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess potential impacts on city operations
- Represent the city at public hearings and committee meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of government affairs or public sector experience
- Proven expertise in policy analysis and legislative processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with government databases and research tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance if required
- Valid Arizona driver's license
