Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health datasets to identify emerging disease trends and community health risks
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for state-level health interventions
- Lead cross-functional teams during public health emergency response operations
- Create interactive data visualizations for stakeholder briefings and public communications
- Coordinate with local health departments to implement statewide health initiatives
- Secure and manage confidential health data in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Mentor junior analysts and train public health professionals on data analysis methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health data analysis and program evaluation
- Advanced proficiency in SAS, R, or Python for statistical modeling
- Certification in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent professional designation
- Demonstrated experience with Arizona public health systems and regulations
- Strong project management skills with ability to deliver under urgent deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
