Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity initiatives
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies to coordinate health services
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and analyze health data to identify emerging health threats and trends
- Prepare and present comprehensive health impact reports for state officials and community stakeholders
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state health regulations
- Lead community outreach campaigns and health education workshops for diverse populations
- Maintain accurate records of program outcomes and prepare annual performance metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation or community health coordination
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R) and health information systems
- Strong understanding of Texas public health laws and Title X/Medicaid regulations
- Experience managing budgets over $100,000 and grant reporting processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with bilingual English/Spanish proficiency
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits
