Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health disparities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify trends and inform strategic interventions
- Collaborate with community partners, healthcare providers, and government agencies
- Develop grant proposals and manage program budgets totaling $500K+
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and state health authorities
- Lead community outreach initiatives and public health education campaigns
- Maintain compliance with CDC and Michigan Department of Health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health program management
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and data visualization tools
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and budget management
- Strong knowledge of health equity frameworks and culturally competent practices
- Ability to communicate complex health data to diverse audiences
