Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and prioritize county interventions
- Develop grant proposals securing $500K+ in annual federal/state public health funding
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to implement COVID-19 response and chronic disease prevention programs
- Create data visualizations and reports for County Council and state health department compliance
- Lead community health assessments in underserved Baltimore neighborhoods
- Mentor junior analysts in public health methodologies and reporting standards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government/public health data analysis
- Proficiency in SAS/R and Tableau for health data visualization
- Grant writing success with federal/state health agencies (CDC/MDH examples)
- Valid Maryland driver's license and ability to travel to community sites
- CHES certification preferred
- Knowledge of Healthy People 2030 objectives and Maryland health equity initiatives
