Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform city policy
- Develop and implement public health intervention programs targeting underserved communities
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on emergency preparedness initiatives
- Manage grant-funded health equity projects and reporting requirements
- Conduct community needs assessments and stakeholder engagement
- Present findings to city council and community partners
- Maintain compliance with CDC and Texas DSHS regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Experience with community health assessment methodologies
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
