Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health trends and inform strategic interventions
- Develop evidence-based health policies and community outreach programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on emergency preparedness and response
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Present complex health findings to diverse stakeholders including government officials
- Lead community health assessments and surveillance initiatives
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CDC, and local health department standards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health analysis or epidemiology
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and GIS mapping
- Certified Public Health Professional (CPH) preferred
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and program evaluation
- Strong knowledge of Texas public health regulations and frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights
