Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and priority areas for intervention
- Develop comprehensive health improvement plans targeting vulnerable populations across Nashville neighborhoods
- Coordinate multi-agency initiatives to address chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for public health policy stakeholders
- Manage public health grant programs and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead community health assessments and stakeholder engagement sessions
- Maintain confidential health databases while ensuring HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health data analysis or program management
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and GIS mapping tools
- Strong understanding of CDC guidelines and public health emergency response protocols
- Experience developing health equity frameworks for diverse urban populations
- Valid Tennessee driver's license and reliable transportation for field visits
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with ability to present to non-technical audiences
