Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data using advanced statistical methods to identify emerging health trends and vulnerabilities
- Develop evidence-based health policies and intervention programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Coordinate multi-agency partnerships with healthcare providers, non-profits, and community organizations
- Lead public health emergency response planning and disaster preparedness initiatives
- Manage grant-funded projects including budget oversight and compliance reporting
- Present findings to county officials, stakeholders, and the public through compelling visual reports
- Mentor junior analysts and supervise health data collection systems
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive public health analytics experience in government or healthcare
- Advanced proficiency in SAS, R, or SPSS with portfolio of health data projects
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent credential
- Demonstrated success in securing and managing federal/state health grants
- Experience with Virginia-specific health regulations and reporting requirements
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate technical data for diverse audiences
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean record
