Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform strategic interventions
- Develop evidence-based public health policies and program recommendations
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives addressing chronic disease prevention
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance and measurable outcomes
- Present findings to stakeholders including county commissioners and community partners
- Mentor junior staff and lead data visualization projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in governmental public health roles
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS)
- Valid California Public Health Microbiologist certification
- Demonstrated experience with grant management and reporting
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and public health data privacy regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
