Responsibilities
- Design and implement epidemiological studies to identify emerging health trends and disparities
- Analyze complex health data sets using advanced statistical methods to inform policy recommendations
- Collaborate with community organizations to develop targeted health intervention programs
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives addressing chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county leadership and public health advisory boards
- Manage public health emergency response protocols during disease outbreaks
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to departmental strategic planning
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive public health analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and GIS mapping
- Demonstrated success in developing data-driven health policy recommendations
- Experience with community health assessment methodologies
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Strong project management skills with ability to oversee multiple concurrent initiatives
