Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for intervention
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations and implementation strategies
- Lead community health assessments and program evaluations
- Collaborate with government agencies, community organizations, and healthcare providers
- Present findings to diverse stakeholders including elected officials and community groups
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to departmental strategic planning
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and data visualization tools
- Experience with health policy development and program evaluation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Valid California Driver's License
- Knowledge of local public health issues and Long Beach community dynamics
