Responsibilities
- Lead epidemiological data analysis and reporting for Omaha metropolitan health initiatives
- Develop evidence-based public health policies in collaboration with state and local partners
- Manage grant-funded projects totaling $500K+ annually
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Mentor junior analysts and present findings to legislative committees
- Conduct community health needs assessments using GIS mapping tools
- Oversee compliance with federal HIPAA and state privacy regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in state/local government health programs
- Advanced proficiency in SAS, R, or SPSS statistical software
- Valid Nebraska Public Health Certification (PHR/SPHR preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and federal reporting
- Strong knowledge of CDC/Nebraska DHHS protocols
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
