Responsibilities
- Analyze complex epidemiological data to identify disease trends and public health threats
- Develop evidence-based health policy recommendations for local and state implementation
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response initiatives during public health crises
- Lead community health assessment projects using GIS mapping and statistical modeling
- Manage grant-funded programs focused on underserved populations in Dallas County
- Present findings to legislative committees and stakeholder coalitions
- Mentor junior analysts and supervise data collection protocols
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health data analysis or policy development
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and GIS platforms
- Experience with Texas public health systems and local government reporting requirements
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or equivalent preferred
- Strong written communication skills demonstrated through published reports
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Texas Department of Public Security clearance
