Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive health intervention programs targeting high-priority community health issues
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify trends and inform evidence-based policy recommendations
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses for public health threats including infectious disease outbreaks
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies to align health initiatives with regional priorities
- Manage grant applications and oversee budget allocation for public health projects
- Conduct community outreach and education on health equity and preventive care
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Valid Texas Public Health Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and federal compliance (e.g., CDC, HRSA)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
