Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify disease trends and inform policy decisions
- Develop interactive night shift dashboards for real-time health surveillance during off-peak hours
- Collaborate with epidemiologists to create predictive models for outbreak prevention
- Manage remote data pipelines ensuring 24/7 availability of critical health metrics
- Present findings to leadership teams through automated reporting systems
- Maintain HIPAA compliance protocols for sensitive health data
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Statistics, Data Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in data analysis with government/public sector background
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas), and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated experience with remote work and night shift scheduling
- Strong understanding of public health surveillance systems and methodologies
- Certification in data security (e.g., CISSP, CIPP) or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work independently during night hours with minimal supervision
