Responsibilities
- Analyze complex epidemiological data to identify health disparities and prioritize intervention strategies
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting underserved communities
- Prepare detailed reports and policy briefs for state legislators and department leadership
- Coordinate with local health departments, community organizations, and healthcare providers
- Manage federal and state grant budgets, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements
- Conduct community outreach and stakeholder engagement activities
- Mentor junior analysts and supervise program evaluation initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in public health program development and evaluation
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and data visualization tools
- Proven track record of securing and managing federal/state health grants
- Deep understanding of Michigan public health regulations and healthcare systems
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings/weekends for community events
