Responsibilities
- Lead epidemiological investigations and disease surveillance programs for border communities
- Develop data-driven public health interventions and emergency response protocols
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies on cross-border health initiatives
- Analyze health data trends and prepare actionable reports for policymakers
- Manage grant-funded projects and compliance with state/federal regulations
- Train healthcare providers and community health workers on emerging threats
- Oversee public health emergency preparedness and response drills
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of public health analysis experience in government/healthcare
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and GIS mapping
- Bilingual English/Spanish certification required
- Experience with CDC/DOH reporting standards and grant management
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel to rural sites
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Demonstrated crisis communication skills
