Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate evidence-based health policies aligned with county equity goals
- Analyze complex health data to identify emerging trends and community needs
- Lead stakeholder engagement with community groups, healthcare providers, and government agencies
- Prepare legislative recommendations and fiscal impact statements for county commissioners
- Manage grant-funded projects supporting vulnerable populations
- Oversee policy implementation and impact assessment frameworks
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate interdepartmental initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (R, SPSS, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in developing health equity frameworks
- Experience with Oregon state legislative processes
- Strong qualitative research and community engagement skills
- Valid Oregon driver's license and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of Multnomah County's demographics and health landscape
