Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate public health policies addressing health equity, pandemic preparedness, and chronic disease prevention
- Analyze complex health data and legislative trends to inform strategic recommendations
- Collaborate with city officials, community organizations, and legislative bodies on policy implementation
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior leadership and state committees
- Monitor federal/state regulatory changes and assess impact on local health programs
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve access to healthcare services for underserved populations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in health policy analysis or government affairs
- Expertise in health equity frameworks and data-driven policy development
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS)
- Strong knowledge of California's Medi-Cal and public health systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with policy stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines
