Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate statewide health policies using quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Collaborate with legislators, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders on policy implementation
- Analyze health data trends and prepare legislative reports for state leadership
- Lead interdepartmental task forces addressing emerging public health challenges
- Manage grant-funded projects totaling $1M+ annually
- Mentor junior analysts and oversee policy research workflows
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years experience in state/federal health policy or regulatory affairs
- Advanced proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Demonstrated success in translating research into actionable policy recommendations
- Experience with Tennessee state legislative processes
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with policy stakeholders
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
