We're seeking a visionary Senior Public Health Policy Analyst to lead evidence-based initiatives addressing health equity, pandemic response, and chronic disease prevention. What You'll Achieve:
- Transform complex health data into actionable policy recommendations
- Collaborate with state/federal agencies on public health initiatives
- Lead cross-departmental task forces addressing emerging health threats
- Mentor junior analysts while driving innovation in health policy
Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate public health policies using quantitative/qualitative research methods
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs for County Board of Supervisors
- Manage $2M+ grant portfolios for community health programs
- Coordinate inter-agency responses to health emergencies
- Analyze health disparities across 88 LA County municipalities
- Leverage GIS mapping to visualize health impact zones
- Present findings to diverse stakeholders including community advocates
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government/nonprofit sector
- Expertise in epidemiological data analysis (SAS/R required)
- Proven track record in health equity initiatives
- California driver's license and ability to travel countywide
- PHR/SPHR certification or equivalent public health credential
- Experience with Health in All Policies (HiAP) frameworks
