Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate public health policies using quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health disparities and inform strategic interventions
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative stakeholders and public health leadership
- Coordinate with community partners to implement health equity initiatives
- Monitor emerging public health trends and recommend policy adjustments
- Manage grant-funded projects related to chronic disease prevention
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health policy analysis or related role
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS) and data visualization tools
- Knowledge of Texas public health systems and regulatory frameworks
- Experience with grant writing and program evaluation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
