The Department of Public Health and Environment seeks a dedicated Senior Policy Analyst to lead evidence-based initiatives addressing health equity, disease prevention, and environmental health. Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate public health policies using epidemiological data and socioeconomic indicators
- Coordinate with state agencies to implement health equity initiatives across urban and rural communities
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with healthcare providers, nonprofits, and vulnerable populations
- Analyze legislative impacts and prepare testimony for state health committees
- Manage grant-funded projects focused on chronic disease prevention and access to care
- Produce comprehensive policy briefs and implementation roadmaps for department leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Policy, or related field with 5+ years of policy analysis experience
- Proven expertise in quantitative data analysis using SAS, R, or SPSS
- Demonstrated success in developing health equity frameworks for diverse populations
- Experience with Colorado state government processes and legislative procedures
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or Health Policy Research certification preferred
- Strong proficiency in health policy impact assessment methodologies
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
