Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain advanced medical equipment in compliance with federal safety standards
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatment procedures
- Document medical records accurately using electronic health systems (VistA)
- Perform sterilization and inventory management of medical supplies
- Provide direct patient support in emergency and routine care settings
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a hospital setting
- Proficiency with electronic health records and medical software
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Knowledge of HIPAA and VA medical protocols
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
