Responsibilities
- Lead emergency preparedness and response initiatives for public health crises
- Develop and implement community health outreach programs targeting underserved populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform policy recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on health equity initiatives
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Present findings to stakeholders including county commissioners and community leaders
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate volunteer programs during emergencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government/public health sector
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent
- Advanced proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and management
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and public health emergency regulations
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
- Valid California driver's license
