Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Collaborate with community partners to address social determinants of health
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform policy recommendations
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead crisis response initiatives for public health emergencies
- Supervise cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (MPH preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive experience in public health program management
- Valid Ohio Public Health Sanitarian or Registered Environmental Health Specialist license
- Expertise in data analysis using SPSS, R, or SAS
- Proven success in securing and managing government grants
- Strong knowledge of CDC guidelines and OSHA regulations
- Excellent written/verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- CHES certification or eligible for certification
