Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform strategic planning
- Lead community outreach initiatives and build partnerships with healthcare providers and local organizations
- Manage grant-funded projects including budget oversight, reporting, and compliance monitoring
- Develop educational materials and public health campaigns accessible to diverse populations
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Mentor junior staff and supervise program implementation teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health program management
- Valid New Mexico Public Health Practitioner certification
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of local health disparities and cultural competency frameworks
