Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and data analysis to identify emerging health trends
- Coordinate interagency partnerships with healthcare providers, NGOs, and community organizations
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Provide technical assistance to local healthcare facilities on public health protocols
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for city leadership
- Lead community outreach initiatives addressing health disparities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Valid Texas Department of State Health Services certification
- Proficiency in epidemiological software (e.g., SAS, R)
- Experience with federal grant management (HRSA, CDC)
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish preferred
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
- Valid Texas driver's license
