Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex urban policy issues across housing, transportation, and economic development
- Develop data-driven policy recommendations with quantitative and qualitative methodologies
- Collaborate with city departments, community stakeholders, and legislative bodies
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs, presentations, and legislative testimony
- Monitor implementation of adopted policies and evaluate outcomes
- Lead cross-functional task forces on priority initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and equity frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in municipal/government setting
- Expertise in quantitative analysis (SPSS, R, Python) and qualitative research
- Proven track record of developing actionable policy recommendations
- Strong stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge of Texas local government operations and funding structures
- Valid Texas driver's license (required for field visits)
