Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state legislation and regulations to develop actionable policy recommendations
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research on socioeconomic trends and policy impacts
- Collaborate with state agencies, legislators, and community stakeholders
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony
- Manage multi-year policy implementation projects
- Monitor federal compliance requirements for state programs
- Mentor junior analysts on policy research methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SPSS, or SAS)
- Demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement processes
- Knowledge of Oregon state legislative processes
- Superior written/verbal communication skills
- Valid Oregon driver's license
- US citizenship required for federal compliance work
