Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate state policies using quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Collaborate with legislative bodies, agencies, and stakeholders to implement initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations
- Monitor federal/state regulatory changes and ensure compliance
- Lead cross-functional teams for major policy implementation projects
- Analyze fiscal impacts of proposed legislation using economic models
- Present findings to senior officials and legislative committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Deep knowledge of Tennessee legislative processes and state governance
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and public consultation processes
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with legislative drafting experience
