Responsibilities
- Develop data-driven policy recommendations addressing housing, transportation, and economic development
- Analyze legislative impacts and regulatory changes affecting Travis County operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement county strategic initiatives
- Present findings to county commissioners and community stakeholders
- Manage policy research projects with $500K+ annual budgets
- Maintain compliance with federal/state regulations and county policies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, SPSS)
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement across diverse communities
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency strongly encouraged
