Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy data and draft actionable recommendations for state legislators
- Conduct stakeholder consultations with community leaders and government officials
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative impact statements
- Coordinate interdepartmental projects to align agency objectives
- Monitor federal and state legislative developments affecting New Mexico
- Present findings to senior leadership and public committees
- Manage policy implementation evaluation frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sectors
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SPSS)
- Demonstrated success in developing legislative proposals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of New Mexico's governmental structure and processes
- Valid New Mexico driver's license
