Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response protocols during declared disasters
- Analyze risk assessment data to develop targeted hazard mitigation strategies
- Create evacuation route optimization models using GIS and predictive analytics
- Lead community resilience workshops across 15 council districts
- Manage federal grant compliance for FEMA and HSEM programs
- Develop public alert systems with multilingual capabilities
- Conduct tabletop exercises for critical infrastructure protection
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in government/public safety coordination
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent designation required
- Advanced proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Demonstrated experience with federal grant management (FEMA/HSEM)
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to work 24/7 during emergency activations
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
