Responsibilities
- Oversee $50M+ infrastructure capital improvement projects
- Develop and implement municipal engineering standards
- Manage federal/state grant compliance and reporting
- Lead interdepartmental task forces on urban development
- Coordinate with EPA and INDOT regulatory bodies
- Direct public works emergency response protocols
- Mentor junior engineering and planning staff
- Conduct infrastructure lifecycle assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Public Administration (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years municipal infrastructure management experience
- PE license required
- Federal grant management certification
- Advanced knowledge of ADA/OSHA compliance
- Experience with GIS infrastructure mapping systems
- Proven crisis management in public works emergencies
- Strong budgetary oversight for multi-million dollar projects
