Responsibilities
- Inspect public works construction projects for compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards
- Prepare detailed field reports and documentation for project milestones
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments to resolve issues
- Review permit applications and ensure adherence to municipal codes
- Conduct site investigations and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and project progress
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of construction inspection experience
- Valid California Inspector certification (QAC, QSP, or QLA)
- Strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure standards
- Ability to interpret engineering blueprints and specifications
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Valid California driver's license
