Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of municipal infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and utilities
- Verify compliance with federal/state regulations and city engineering standards
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain digital documentation systems
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city officials to resolve compliance issues
- Train junior inspectors on safety protocols and inspection methodologies
- Manage project timelines and escalate critical issues to senior management
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of construction inspection experience with government or public sector projects
- Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Inspector Certification required
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification preferred
- Proficiency in CAD software and digital inspection reporting tools
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills
