Responsibilities
- Algorithm Development: Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning tasks.
- System Architecture: Oversee the architectural design of quantum software stacks, ensuring scalability and fault tolerance.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with hardware physicists and quantum hardware engineers to optimize software for specific quantum processors.
- Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and guide a team of junior quantum software engineers and researchers.
- Research: Stay at the forefront of quantum computing advancements and integrate new methodologies into our production pipelines.
Qualifications
- Education: PhD or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on Quantum Mechanics.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a specific focus on quantum computing or quantum-inspired algorithms.
- Programming: Proficiency in Python, C++, or Rust, with experience in quantum SDKs such as Qiskit, Cirq, or QuTiP.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional ability to solve complex mathematical and algorithmic problems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
