Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the county's server infrastructure, including Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Manage Active Directory domains, user accounts, and group policies to ensure secure and efficient access.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, and implement preventative maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and optimize network performance.
- Ensure strict compliance with data security standards and government regulations.
- Lead technical projects and provide mentorship to junior IT staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Server+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
