Responsibilities
- Conducts thorough systems analysis and design to support MassDOT's strategic objectives and operational needs.
- Develops and documents detailed technical specifications, requirements, and user stories for software development projects.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and subject matter experts, to ensure project alignment.
- Performs quality assurance testing, including unit testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate system functionality.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices to recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or a related IT role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or Java is required.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
