Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and databases to support state operations.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local security regulations and data privacy laws.
- Conduct system performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver innovative software solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) for third-party technology providers.
- Lead code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior IT staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, preferably within the government or public sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# and database systems (SQL, Oracle).
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and virtualization platforms.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a required government security clearance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into user-friendly solutions.
