Responsibilities
- Lead IT Infrastructure Projects: Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of state-of-the-art IT systems and network solutions for transportation management.
- Ensure Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive state data and ensure compliance with federal and state cybersecurity standards.
- System Maintenance & Optimization: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime of critical government systems.
- Agency Collaboration: Work closely with Federal and Local government partners to integrate systems and streamline communication channels.
- Technical Support & Training: Provide advanced technical guidance to junior staff and conduct training sessions on new software and security protocols.
- Vendor Management: Manage contracts and relationships with third-party IT vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality service delivery.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems analysis, network engineering, or software development within the public sector or a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Java, SQL, and AWS is essential. Experience with government cloud architectures (FedRAMP) is highly desirable.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen to meet Federal hiring requirements for this position.
