Responsibilities
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on government networks.
- Ensure full compliance with FISMA, HIPAA, and NIST security frameworks.
- Monitor security events using SIEM tools and respond to incidents in real-time.
- Conduct security awareness training for government staff.
- Document technical requirements and security policies for Federal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cloud providers to secure Azure and AWS environments.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security, specifically within the public sector or federal contracting.
- Active Top Secret or Secret Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and encryption standards.
- Proficiency in security tools such as Splunk, Qualys, or Tenable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Excellent communication skills to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.
