Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain critical IT infrastructure and network systems during off-hours to ensure 99.9% uptime for state services.
- Execute nightly system patches, security updates, and database backups in accordance with compliance standards.
- Respond to and resolve complex technical incidents and service tickets escalated from day operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement remote access solutions and security protocols.
- Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning for server resources to optimize efficiency.
- Document technical procedures and maintain detailed logs of all night shift activities.
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency system outages.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Analysis, Network Administration, or IT Support within a government or enterprise environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a Night Shift environment with high attention to detail.
- Familiarity with government security clearance processes and compliance regulations (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and reporting.
