Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for system development and enhancement.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders, developers, and project managers, to ensure project milestones are met.
- Maintain and optimize existing databases and systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Identify security vulnerabilities and implement best practices for data protection and compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and developers within the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Extensive knowledge of database management systems (SQL, Oracle) and data warehousing.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization technologies.
- Understanding of state government IT policies, security compliance, and procurement processes is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
